Rigging route planner
A planning tool for lifts: hoist positions, angles, load weight distribution across anchor points, and obstacle clearance over, under, and between.
These tools were built with desktop in mind and may not work well on mobile.
Overview
An interactive planner I built for rigging lifts. I place the load, set hoist positions, define anchor points, and route the load path around obstacles, over, under, and between. The planner shows hoist angles and how weight distributes across the anchors in real time.
I built it during Riggerkurs to plan the course exercises before executing them. The team ran our plans through it, and the instructor praised the tool.
What it taught me
Hours of planning with the tool sharpened my visualization of angles, spatial awareness, and instinct for lift geometry, seeing a setup and knowing immediately whether it works.
