Overhead-crane rig simulator
Training simulator for overhead and travelling cranes — lift planning, signalling and load-handling drills built for my own G4 preparation.
These tools were built with desktop in mind and may not work well on mobile.
Overview
Browser-based simulator built as preparation for the G4 bridge and overhead crane certification. Covers the parts of the operator curriculum that book study tends to miss — the timing, the signalling, and the judgement calls under load.
Scenarios range from routine pick-and-place lifts to edge cases: suspended load hand-off, obstructed paths, wind loading on an outdoor bay. Each scenario has a correct operator response and a few wrong ones with visible consequences.
What it taught me
Building the physics and signalling logic forced me to understand the failure modes, not just the procedure steps. Mistakes in the sim are cheap — that is exactly what makes them useful.
